I have a 1997 Nissan Altima SE with a 2.4L DOHC 4-cyl engine and 5-spd manual gearbox. but i'm not sure if it's what they call a SR20 or SR20DET engine or anything of that sort but i am wanting to do some simple modding(body kit, muffler, turbo, cold
You have the KA24DE I4 DOHC engine so youre at about 150hp.
If you got the JDM version of the altima aka Bluebird you would have gotten the SR20DET with the AWD.
There are a few things you can go to the altima...other than the SR swap.

Looks great... Freaken took me 2 hours just to get the motor into the motor mounts...and so sad i had to sell the car. that's life when you trade something u love for something / some else that will love you for the rest of your life- YOUR NEW BORN SON.
this was my 2nd 240sx. my first one was a 93 automatic that i crashed trying to get into the drifting scene. but one thing i learn NO MORE JDM S13 FRONT. cost too much to deal with and rare to find. maybe the sleepy eyes, and a full body kit will be perfect!!! Sold this one not to long...
Single cam ka24.
You can't really tell but the pistons hit the complete head away from the block.
People go around making rumors that the dual cam's clutch doesn't fit the single cam but it's all bull. when i got it in the car it even gave the car 3 more torch. as you can see the dual on the left is a lot bigger than the single on the right. YEP BIGGER IS BETTER.
