Guys i have 99 Toyota Corolla .The engine is gone.There is 1 guy selling 98 Toyota Corolla engine for $200 low km.I read online that engine will fit my 99.I asked my mechanic about it and he said i need to get the vin# of car the engine is from.We need

is the engine carburetor type fuel system ?
if so, you can run the engine without installing it to the car. for checking purposes only.
place the engine on the floor,
place some wooden block around or side of the engine.
