Gapping spark plugs in a 99 Hyundia?
Why are spark plugs set at various gaps? My 99 Hyundia is gapped at 44. Would it harm the engine if the gap is greater? Or less? What would happen in either case?
If the gap is greater or lesser than the specified measurement, it could cause the engine to misfire slightly in the rpm range. The gap is set so combustion can occur nominally in the cylinder; therefore producing better fuel economy as well as optimal
