An archeologist discovers a wooden mask whose carbon-14 to carbon-12 ratio is one-fourth the ratio measured in a newly fallen tree. How old does the wooden mask seem to be given this evidence? (The half-life of carbon is 5715 y.)........answer?plz
1/4 means that it has gone through 2 half lives.
So 2 x 5715 years = ??
