How does AWG in an alternator's windings affect current and voltage production?

i cant find anything online on the theory of AWG in alternators. Im looking for formulas and theory, i could use some references or someone who is knowledgeable explaining, thanks.

I think you mean AWG = American Wire Gauge. This is the wire diameter, which determines its resistance for a given length and ultimately its current rating in the particular conditions.
