Is it better to have an electronic thermostat?

I have the old fashioned dial looking thermostat, is it better to get an electronic one?? So I can time when the heat goes on and off.

Digital thermostats are always better than the old conventional ones. Even if you don't use the programming features, the accuracy and finer control far outweighs them. I like the current line of Honeywell digital stats the best right now.
